Why propose on the water?
Amsterdam becomes softer from the water. Away from busy streets and crowded bridges, the canals create a private setting where the city feels close, but the moment belongs entirely to you.
Aboard Energie, everything can be prepared before you arrive: roses on the table, champagne chilled, the route planned and the timing quietly coordinated by Captain Gus.
The best proposals feel effortless. The planning happens in advance so the moment itself can feel natural.
Captain Gus recommends
The perfect proposal moment
“Many guests think sunset is the only perfect moment. I often recommend blue hour: just after sunset, when the bridges begin to glow and the city becomes quiet. Around the Magere Brug or Seven Bridges, that moment can feel truly magical.”

Amsterdam by night
A city made for romantic moments
At night, Amsterdam’s bridges reflect in the canals and the salon boat feels like a private world. This is why evening proposal cruises are so powerful: the setting is cinematic, but the experience remains intimate.
Captain Gus can help choose a route that feels calm, beautiful and appropriate for the exact moment you want to create.
